On June 21st, Vice Chairman of CNBM Liu Zhijiang, on behalf of CNBM Chairman Song Zhiping, held a talk with visiting Vice President of Ghana Mahamudu Bawumia in Diaoyutai State Guesthouse. They had an in-depth discussion on improving cooperation, mutual benefit, and boosting economic and related industries’ development of Ghana, while reaching important agreements. They both witnessed the signing of “One District, One Factory” cooperation agreement between CNBM and Ghana counterparties.
Mr. Mahamudu Bawumia introduced “One District, One Factory” blueprint led by Ghanaian government. He stated that this project has significant impact on utilizing Ghana’s economy and improving living conditions of local citizens. Meeting and signing relevant agreement with CNBM top management is one of his important agenda during his visit to China. He praised development of CNBM’s current project in Ghana. He hoped that Fortune 500 companies such as CNBM could participate more in Ghana’s economic development. He expected more achievement between CNBM and Ghanaian enterprises.
Zhijiang appreciated Mr. Mahamudu Bawumia‘s support on CNBM’s business
development in Ghana. He introduced CNBM and CBMIE’s business
development in Africa. He pointed out that Ghana is one important
country in “One Belt, One Road” regions. CNBM paid high attention to
business development and economic development in Ghana and valued
cooperation with Ghana counterparties. He expressed that CNBM is willing
to cooperate with Ghanaian government on the basis of mutual benefit.
the meeting, Chen Yongxin, General Manager of CBMIE, signed the
agreement with the representatives of the Association of Ghana
Industries (AGI) and relevant financial organizations. According to the
agreement, CNBM General Machinery Co.,Ltd, a subsidiary of CBMIE, is to
construct the 200 factories and relevant facilities within the “ One
District, One Factory” plan.
Huang Anzhong (Deputy General Manager of CNBM), Wang Lihe (Deputy General Manager of CBMIE), Gao Jianhua (General Manager of CNBM General Machinery), representatives from CNBM International Cooperation department, AGI, and major banks also participated in the meeting.
