ON July 29, Song Zhiping, Chairman of China National Building Materials Group, held talks with Michael Charlton, British Minister Counselor, Acting Director-General, UK Trade & Investment (China) in the Group headquarters. The two sides made in-depth exchanges on CNBM's business development, future planning and cooperation issues in the UK in the field of new energy and new housing
Song Zhiping first welcomed to the arrival of Michael Charlton and expressed his gratitude to the British Embassy in China and the UK Trade and Investment Director for their long-term strong support and help to CNBM. Song Zhiping introduced the manufacturing, research and development, logistics and other business-related situation of building materials. He said that CNBM had been in the Global Top 500 for six consecutive years, was the world's largest building materials industry manufacturers, and had made significant progress in new energy and new housing business in the UK. He stressed that the Sino-British enterprises were in the stage with a good development opportunity, should give full play to their respective advantages, make in-depth extensive cooperation and jointly develop third-party market except the cooperation between the two countries
Michael Charlton had fully affirmed CNBM's achievements in the UK and said that he was very happy to provide necessary help for CNBM development in UK. Britain is still the ideal place for the global investment, and British government will maintain an open business environment, will not change the basic principles for investors, and will not change its commitments to build more houses for the people. Michael Charlton said that the green town and new energy were good idea, and hoped that the two sides can further deepen bilateral cooperation and create more successful models for future cooperation.
