Yao Yan Attends "2016 New Materials International Development Trend High-level Forum" and Makes a Keynote Report

From 24 September to 26 September, "2016 New Materials International Development Trend High-level Forum" was held in Nanjing. At invitation, more than 320 domestic and overseas experts and scholars in the field of materials, including 17 academicians of Chinese Academy of Engineering, 15 academicians of Chinese Academy of Sciences, 11 overseas academicians attended the forum and made excellent reports. Vice chairman of China National Building Material Group, president of CNBM Academy and director of State Key Laboratory of Green Building Materials Yao Yan, as an invited speaker, made a keynote report entitled "Research and Application of High Strength and High Performance Concrete in the Construction of Thousand Meters Deep Well for Coal Mining" at the sub-forum of "Advanced Inorganic Materials". Vice director of State Key Laboratory of Green Building Materials Wang Hong made a report entitled "Fabrication Technologies for Amorphous State Precursor for Membrane Combination Material Chips" at the sub-forum of "Material Genome".

The forum includes 12 sub-forums, namely nanomaterials, photocatalysis, material genome, electronic information materials, intelligent materials, energy materials, advanced inorganic materials, composite material and technology, 3D printing material and application technology, organic optoelectronics and young scientists. Nearly 300 keynote reports were made regarding various kinds of materials. More than 1,200 people registered and attended this meeting. The number of participants hit a record high.

"New Materials International Development Trend High-level Forum" was sponsored by the Department of Chemical Engineering, Metallurgy and Material Engineering Chinese Academy of Engineering, and Chinese Materials Research Society and Materials Academic Alliance. Since 2011, it has been held for five sessions in Zibo, Kunming, Chengdu, Xi'an and Shanghai, becoming one of the most influential academic activities in the fields of new materials.
